London … 50 days to go before the Olympics begin and at least one Londoner is happy to show his excitement

I don’t know whether the flooding of Stratford station on the Central line yesterday was in honour of reaching the ’50-days-to-go-before-the-Olympics-begin’ milestone today, or whether it was to celebrate Thames Water‘s rethink on lifting the hosepipe ban in London sooner than planned after one of the wettest Springs on record. Typical of the British to use sarcasm as a response to either.

I was rather disappointed to find that absolutely nothing was organised in London today to mark one of the last major calendar milestones before the Olympics begin. With only fifty days to go it would appear Olympic organisers left it to the eccentrics amongst us to show our excitement:

... or maybe we're all just Jubileed out
